Visiting this website

This website doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies or identify you; it only tells us things like how many people visited and which pages they read. We use those totals in reports to our funder.

If you use the "Read this page in another language" link, the page is sent to Google Translate. Google's own privacy policy applies there.

Booking an event

Bookings are handled by TicketSource. When you book, we get your name, email address, how many places you've booked and anything you tell us, such as access needs. We use this to:

We delete booking details within three months of the event. We keep only the total number of people who came, for our reports. TicketSource's own privacy policy, onticketsource.co.uk, explains how they handle your details.

Forms: volunteering, memories and having your say

Our forms are run by Google Forms and Tally. We only use what you send us for the reason you sent it: to arrange volunteering, to add your memory or photo to our story (only with your permission), or to include your views in the study about the park's future. Views are reported without names.

We delete volunteer details when you stop volunteering, or at the end of the project if sooner. If you share a memory or photo, we keep it, and your permission, for as long as it is on this website.

Photos at our events

We take photos at our events to share what's happening. We ask anyone who can be clearly recognised to sign a consent form first, and a parent or carer signs for children. If you'd rather not be photographed, just tell a member of the team.

Children

If someone under 13 wants to book or join in, we ask a parent or carer to fill in the form for them. Photos of children on this website are not covered by our open licence.

Why we're allowed to use your information

For bookings and volunteering, we use it because it's needed to run a safe event and to answer you (legitimate interests). For memories, photos and anything we publish, we ask for your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

Email and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
