We did it! £207,375 for our park's 150th
Thanks to National Lottery players, Heaton Norris Park's 150th just got a whole lot bigger.
The National Lottery Heritage Fund has backed our project, Heaton Norris Park: 150 Years of Legacy, A Green Oasis Vision for Tomorrow, in full. That means a proper celebration, not a scaled-back summer, and a real say for local people in what happens to the park next.

What the money does
- Events for everyone. Three phases of events, ending with a Heritage Festival, open to all.
- Bringing the history home. Collecting photos, memories and stories from people who've grown up with the park.
- Having your say. Gathering residents' views for a study on the park's future.
- Laying the ground for the next bid. That study will support a follow-up application for investment in the park itself, so it's fit for the next 150 years.
